St John Ambulance and Tesco are working together to help spread the little known but incredibly important lesson of baby CPR to as many parents as possible.

With the help of Humpty Dumpty, we’ve created a babygrow which provides all the life saving information to help parents, grandparents or anyone who looks after babies remember what to do, just in case an emergency should happen.

Tesco will be giving away free limited edition babygrows in selected stores on 13 October while stocks last, and helping to fundraise for St John Ambulance’s life saving work with a suggested donation of £3 per babygrow.

For our previous campaigns we were thrilled to be supported by a wide range of organisations who wanted to help us spread the word, and we’ve created a ‘partners pack’ specifically for this purpose.

Help support the campaign

We want as many people to watch and share our new babygrow video as possible so they can learn about the initiative and learn baby CPR in the process. If you can help, please email to receive your online partners pack first thing on launch day, 10 October.

About the campaign

  • The limited edition babygrows will be given away in selected Tesco stores on Thursday 13 October with a suggested donation of £3 going to St John Ambulance’s life saving work
  • The babygrows teach baby CPR and have a handy reminder inside the collar and on the swingtag.
  • To find out which stores are giving away babygrows – and which will have free first aid demonstrations from St John Ambulance volunteers – please visit
  • The natural audience is parents, grandparents and others who care for children so please spread this information to your customers or employees so more people know what to do.

As a campaign partner, we can provide you with:

  • An educational campaign film produced in partnership with Tesco, for you to embed on your website, social media or e-newsletters
  • Promotional campaign images
  • Social media assets
  • Links to baby first aid videos
  • Link to our free first aid app
  • First aid editorial and case studies
  • Content for staff intranets and newsletters.
