You can be the difference between life and death.

St John Ambulance is a national charity and relies on donations to teach life saving skills, deliver first aid and campaign to raise awareness of the importance of
first aid.

Every day, people save lives thanks to the skills we’ve taught them. We already train hundreds of thousands of people – many of them young people – every year. But
we need to reach more, and that’s why we need your support.

Support the nation’s leading first aid charity.

Every day, people die in situations where first aid could have given them the chance to live. We’re dedicated to changing this, by teaching simple, life saving skills to as many people as we can.

Donors, sponsors, pavement pounders – every penny we raise helps save lives.

Here are just some of the ways that your support can be the difference:

  • £6 could pay for 100 first aid guides
  • £10 could pay for us to distribute 150 free first aid guides to members of the public
  • £20 could pay for half an hour of first aid training – long enough to learn how to dress a wound and prevent infection
  • £40 could pay for an hour of first aid training – long enough to learn how to put someone who is unconscious into the recovery position
  • £60 could pay for a fully stocked kit for a St John Ambulance first aider
  • £80 could pay for someone to attend a half-day first aid course and learn the skills to be the difference between life and death in a range of emergency situations
  • £80 could cover the operational costs of a first aid response unit for one hour
  • £120 could pay for a St John Ambulance trainer to teach first aid to a class of 32 children
  • £150 could pay for a first aid training mannequin, used to teach resuscitation
  • £200 could provide over 3,000 people with a free pocket first aid guide
  • £500 could pay for a stretcher chair, used to transport patients
  • £600 could train a trainer
  • £1,500 could pay for an automated external defibrillator.
