Volunteering

Volunteer with us, and be part of a team that
saves lives.

How do you want to help?

Whatever you enjoy doing, and however much time you can commit, there’s a volunteer role for you.

If you’re great with people and have a caring nature, you could save lives as a first aider at events, or answering emergency calls as a Community First Responder. Whether you’ve just learnt first aid, or you’re an experienced healthcare professional, there’s bound to be a role that you’re perfect for.

But that’s not the only way to get involved. We’re also looking for youth leaders who can inspire the next generation, fundraisers to share their passion for first aid with the public, volunteer managers, and safeguarding, HR and assurance experts to make sure we’re getting the important things right behind the scenes.

If you think you fit the bill, we’d love you to be part of our team.

What you get in return

In return for your commitment, we’ll make sure you’re given you all the support you need to excel in your role.

We’ll teach you first aid, of course, (whatever role you’ve signed up to), and provide you with equipment and uniform if you need it.

We’ll also make sure you have a manager to help you work out what new skills you need, what you need to work at, and the best way to go about it. You’ll get extra training when it’s relevant to your role, and all your volunteering experience will look great on your CV.

That’s not all though. As a volunteer for the nation’s leading first aid charity, you’ll also get to work side by side with inspirational people, from all walks of life, and with all kinds of expertise and experience.
